Morrison’s Academy Pupils Hit the Catwalk for Creative Showcase

Pupils at Morrison’s Academy in Crieff are getting ready to take centre stage next week (Friday, 14 November 2025) as the school hosts its annual whole school Art Exhibition & Fashion Show.

Perthshire’s leading independent day school is expecting more than 300 guests to attend the event, which promises a vibrant celebration of creativity across the community. Visitors will enjoy an impressive display of work from pupils ranging from Nursery to S6, featuring everything from expressive artwork to inventive fashion designs.

The evening’s highlight will take place in Memorial Hall, where pupils will take to the catwalk to model garments they have designed and made themselves, joined by former students returning to showcase their creations. Adding to the occasion, guests will be treated to catering prepared and served by a talented team of practical cookery pupils.

Led by Paula O’Neill, Head of Art & Design at Morrison’s Academy, the department continues to flourish, producing exceptional academic outcomes and high-quality creative work. The upcoming showcase comes at the end of a wider series of events celebrating the school’s 165th anniversary, which have united current pupils, staff, families, alumni and the community.

At the start of the academic year, Morrison’s Academy’s outstanding SQA results placed it top across Tayside and Perthshire for National 5 and Higher results for 2025, continuing more than 15 years of sustained excellence across all levels.

Ms O’Neill said: “The whole school has been buzzing with creativity in preparation for this event. It’s such a joy to see pupils from every year group contribute something special, from imaginative art to showstopping designs. The exhibition and fashion show truly reflect the energy and talent that define Morrison’s Academy.”

“The project has been months in the making with pupils dedicating time in and out of the class to perfect their designs and displays. For many senior pupils, the show also forms part of their coursework and portfolio preparation for future studies in art, design and fashion.”

Andrew McGarva, Rector at Morrison’s Academy added; “This event perfectly captures what Morrison’s Academy stands for – creativity, confidence and community. It’s a celebration of talent and teamwork and we’re very proud of our pupils taking centre stage.”
