Morrison’s Academy Pupils Celebrate Another Year of Excellent Exam Results

Morrison’s Academy congratulates its Senior pupils on an excellent set of results in the 2024 SQA examinations. This year’s results are a testament to the dedication, hard work, and resilience of our pupils, the unwavering support of their families, and the exceptional teaching and learning environment at Morrison’s Academy.

At National 5 level, the pupils celebrated a 95% pass rate (National average – 77.2%), with 68% at grade A. In Higher, the pass rate was 96% (National average – 74.9%) and the Advanced Higher candidates achieved a pass rate of 89% (National average – 75.3%).

Mr Andrew J McGarva, Rector of Morrison’s Academy said: “I am very proud of our pupils and what they have achieved this year in their exams. I look forward to personally congratulating them on their individual successes.

However, it is important to recognise that success is not only measured by exam results. Throughout the year, our pupils have participated in a wide array of co-curricular activities, developed leadership skills, contributed positively to the community and pushed themselves outside of their comfort zones to grow as resilient, compassionate, and well-rounded individuals.

Our pupils and their experience sit at the heart of everything we do at Morrison’s Academy.  I would like to express my gratitude to our staff who are central to this; they support and guide our pupils, inspire them and encourage them to strive for their highest every day.

I also want to thank our parents for their continued support and for trusting us as partners in the education of their children”.
