Morrison’s Academy Hosts Secondary School Speech Day and Prize Giving

Last Friday pupils, parents and teachers of Morrison’s Academy gathered for its 2024 Speech Day and Prize Giving as the Crieff School completed another successful academic year.

During the end of term celebration, S1-6 pupils were recognised, in front of friends and family, for their many and varied achievements. There was music from the School’s Pipe Band, Jazz band Mojo and the Box & Fiddle group,  as well as speeches from Morrison’s Academy Rector Andrew McGarva, guest of honour
and entrepreneur Nicola Pitticas, and David Glen, Chairman of the Board of Governors. The S6 School Captains shared stories from their Morrison’s Academy journey and handed over the mantle to the incoming captains.

Following the event, the class of 2024 attended a Leavers Reception with their families, giving them the opportunity to share stories, take photographs and sign yearbooks.

Andrew McGarva, Rector of Morrison’s Academy said: “The day was an absolute delight, with so many families joining our pupils to celebrate the year and pay tribute to the Class of 2024. Our Leavers are now fully fledged Morrisonians as they take the next steps in their journey with the support and encouragement of our whole community. We wish them every success in the future.”
