Women In STEM Week at Morrison’s Academy

Event Date: 05/02/2024

Event Time: 9:00 am

We’re delighted to be holding our first Women In STEM Week at Morrison’s Academy next month from Monday 5th to Friday 9th February 2024.

This exciting week-long celebration of all things STEM has been organised to ignite passion for science, technology, engineering and maths among our female pupils and encourage them to consider choosing a career in this fast paced sector.

A wide range of activities are in store for pupils during the week, including interactive STEM workshops, insightful assemblies and visits from inspirational females in a variety of STEM professions.

Click here to listen to one of our STEM teachers,  Ben Leadbetter, talking about the ways that Morrison’s Academy encourages girls to take STEM subjects at exam level and how introducing STEM at an early age can be hugely beneficial.

To showcase the opportunities and adventures that can come from choosing a career within STEM, we interviewed a variety of former pupils, staff, parents and current pupils.

Get ready to be inspired!
